“The Art of Balancing Orthodoxy and Open-Mindedness – A Communicator’s Perspective on Handling Hot Topics”

Paul Cabellon

Corporate Communicator &
Global Good Storyteller
Intellectual Ventures

Paul leads communications for Global Good – the Gates-backed Intellectual Ventures fund that invents technology for the poorest regions of the world. He likes to tell stories about the people, technologies and movements that better the world. And the more innovative and disruptive, the better. Having explored horizons in defense technology, business and commercial aviation, energy, automotive, and drone technology – from the Beltway to Silicon Valley – Paul enjoys creating and executing solid business-building publicity campaigns around innovations that change lives.

A relational team leader and strategist, he is all about connecting people and helping clients generate their reputational “share” of culture. Paul states, “My downtime is uptime: In addition to advising startups, I champion practical multicultural effectiveness by serving as a consultant with The BridgeLeader Network for businesses and non-profits.”

Paul is an active congregation member at Renew Covenant Church and a board representative for Cedar Park Christian Schools.

Speaker Summary:
How can Christians engage in hot topics at work without bruising their professional reputation? Paul will explore how he uses some of the professional skills he has gathered as a communicator to create a reputation for being able to discuss hot issues in a loving, but intelligent way that doesn’t betray the core elements of his faith in Jesus.
