Level: Senior (3-5 years minimum experience)
Must-Have Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of previous marketing experience. 1-2 years managing content marketing programs and projects. A content role in digital design and web development. SEO, lead gen, organic and paid content distribution. Best practice execution of social, web, email and SMS distribution. Data analysis and content optimization. Complementary collaboration with others in similar roles.
Nice-To-Have Experience: Content marketing for non-profit. Social media platform execution. Paid and earned digital marketing. Content for eCommerce. Fluency with Google Analytics and social platform reporting tools.
Location: Prefer Seattle area base (office is in Federal Way, WA). Remote possible after 2 years.

02 The Job Content marketing at World Vision means distribution and measurement of the results of digital content. It means working with content creators to shape content through data-driven insights that help us reach lofty goals. In this role you’ll aspire to deliver content that helps our U.S. audience understand the transformative impact that their contribution could have on others around the world. Inspiring them to move past their skepticism and sometimes apathy to partner with us and become life-changers. As Content Marketing Manager your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40).
The Content Marketing Manager role will have you working at the heart of our digital content marketing strategy for our website, social media, apps. Up leveling our use of content is a need so you’ll analyze successes and failures to bring about improvement. You’ll implement and manage end-to-end content marketing processes, manage creative projects as a client, and effect organizational growth in the content marketing discipline using your knowledge and influence. You’ll balance user insights, analytics, and organizational goals to develop a comprehensive content marketing strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally with our internal creative agency’s content development team of writers, designers, and video producers on a rolling content calendar.
03 What success looks like Long-term success for this role will be measured on the critical KPIs of increasing awareness, familiarity, favorability and trust for World Vision with our target audience. Supporting metrics are audience growth, donors transformed, increased web traffic, and ultimately more children, families, and communities who overcome poverty and injustice.
Near-term success means you that join the team and play your part to (1) Help bring an ambiguous organizational content marketing strategy into crisp focus, working cross-org to gain input and buy-in. (2) Help establish an analytical framework for evaluating the success of our content and then use the data to educate and refine the output of our content producers. (3) Act as a collaborative client to our internal agency’s content development team, ensuring that the output will accomplish the goals. (4) Put smooth operational processes in place to maximize our content marketing efficiency and increase our chances for success. (5) Initiate new test and learn go-to-market strategy for content marketing.
04 About your team The Digital Experience team sits inside the broader Digital team at World Vision. It plays a role in digital channel success, delivering experiences on our core digital properties. It also plays a key function in supporting other channel team needs, designing and building experiences that support potential church, corporate, government and philanthropic partners. The team is full of competent, compassionate, authentic people who love making life-changing digital experiences and love Jesus in the process. Having fun while crushing it is a priority for us. So is your personal and spiritual well-being. You’ll report to the Director of Digital Experience, whose responsibilities include owned experiences, social media platforms, and content marketing.
The Digital Experience team sits within the larger Digital Services group that includes digital marketing, digital product management, social media, content marketing, digital design, development, marketing automation, CRM and technical support. Other close collaborators include our internal creative agency and our segment, product, and channel marketing teams. You’ll be joining the team that flipped the script on child sponsorship with the introduction of Chosen®, recognized by AdWeek, MediaPost, Upworthy, Christianity Today and winner of two 2020 ANA REGGIE Awards.
