Level: Senior (lead a 3-person team)
Required Experience: This role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of relevant leadership experience, preferably in an agency environment.
Location: Seattle area (our US HQ is in Federal Way, WA). Presently working fully remote as an org. Current plan is to shift to a hybrid office culture in 1/2022 (3 days remote, 2 days on-site).

As the Copywriting Manager leading a team of 3 talented writers, bring your proven leadership at crafting inspiring messaging and narratives that compel audiences to action. You have a genuine love for coaching and team development, and a passion for collaborating with others. See yourself effectively leading our copywriting team, guiding them in developing strong copywriting and creative concepts, while also bringing your own unique contribution to our in-house agency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft marketing messages for our digital, video, and print channels. With your strong creative voice, you’ll be a catalyst for inspiring others and helping drive the organization towards solving creative and business challenges. You’ll be joining the team that flipped with script on child sponsorship with the introduction of Chosen®, recognized by AdWeek, MediaPost, Upworthy, Christianity Today, and winner of two 2020 ANA REGGIE Awards. 02 What success looks like You’re a creative leader; you personally contribute strong creative concepts and compelling marketing copy, while also coaching a team responsible for writing and executing creative campaigns, ensuring messaging and branding guidelines are being upheld. You maintain a high bar of creative excellence and collaborative engagement, going to great lengths to partner with other discipline leads and internal clients to ensure the highest quality deliverables and outcomes. You’re a highly organized, empathetic leader that knows how to inspire your team to produce remarkable creative that builds awareness of our work and the World Vision brand. You keep apprised of industry trends and cultural movements to promote innovation and bring a new perspective to our creative exploration.

05 You Bring A call to serve the poor and live out World Vision’s Christian values in both personal and work life. In this role, you’ll live out your faith in service to the most vulnerable children in the world and utilize your creativity and experience to embolden and inspire us, setting the standard for creative copywriting delivered by the in-house agency. Your proven writing and leadership skills have prepared you for this. You’re most happy solving creative challenges and mentoring a team to consistent, high performance. The roots of success in this role will be in your ability to be both creative thought-leader, mentor, and influencer within the organization. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent work experience combined with at least 5 years of relevant leadership experience, preferably in an agency environment.
