POSITION SUMMARY
Northwest University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Business to teach courses in business administration, management, technology, and analytics, plus other business courses as assigned by the Dean of the College of Business. The candidate will advise business majors and support with the enrollment growth of the Business Administration and Management majors. The applicant will teach for both the bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. A key function of the role is to serve as the program chair of the MBA program.

The successful candidate will help create long-term visions for the Business Administration and Management programs that build on prior successes while meeting the needs of students. Curriculum development, university service, professional development, and other duties may be assigned in accordance with the faculty handbook. The applicant must be an energetic, enthusiastic teacher/scholar who is committed to helping students achieve their academic and career goals.

Candidates must possess a meaningful commitment to Jesus Christ, the church, and the Gospel. We are seeking someone with a winsome, encouraging and culturally engaged faith. Candidates with experience mentoring diverse students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Teach undergraduate and MBA courses in business administration, management, technology, analytics, or other related fields.
• Collaborate with the dean and faculty on curriculum development and assessment.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Work with the program chair and dean to revise curriculum as needed.
• Develop new courses as needed in candidate’s area of research and teaching.
• Participate in the governance functions of the university as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional doctorate degree in business discipline (i.e. Doctor of Business Administration, Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, or Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, etc.).
• Master of Business Administration (or related business master’s degree).
• Professional work experience, preferably in business.
• Undergraduate teaching experience with documentation of success in teaching, advising and mentoring relationships.
• Experience working with diverse populations and passion for providing inclusive and equitable education leading to a more diverse workforce.
• Possesses a demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Northwest University.
• Willingness and ability to apply the Christian worldview in course design, instruction, and advising.
• Models best instructional practices in the classroom setting.
• Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and the general constituency of the University.
• A demonstrated, vibrant evangelical faith compatible with the mission of Northwest University and the Assemblies of God.

COMPENSATION
Dependent on education and experience and based upon the established faculty salary schedule starting at the assistant/associate professor rank.
