01 The Job: At World Vision USA we invite people to positively impact the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children through charitable giving. Our recipe includes love of all people, thriftiness, and targeting the root causes of poverty to bring about human transformation and fullness of life. With us every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed, and a family gets the tools to overcome poverty. As Principal Technical Program Manager your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). If you have a passion to connect your talent to life-changing work with impact, look no further. Start the pursuit of a role that would see you leading major organizational technology initiatives, catalyzing tech and marketing teams, and ultimately changing the world in a life-changing way. Bring your proven track record of technology program management experience and help us create, develop, and drive complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams and levels of leadership. Use your adept ability to discern and translate requirements from marketers, fundraisers, and the like to technologists through vision casting and outlining actionable developer work that consistently delivers solutions and desired results. Most importantly, the leadership of your team and outwardly across the organization is steeped in “multipier” characteristics, that is, you use your intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around you. Report to the Senior Director of Development & Delivery and lead an integral 3-person team that sits within the larger Digital Services group which includes digital experience and design, digital product management, social, content, web development/delivery, and other technology teams. Not to mention other close collaborators in our internal creative agency and other segment, product, and channel marketing teams. You’ll be joining the organization that flipped the script on child sponsorship with the introduction of Chosen®, recognized by AdWeek, MediaPost, Upworthy, Christianity Today, and winner of two 2020 ANA REGGIE Awards. And fundamental to your life: you’re inspired by your faith in Jesus to love God and love your neighbors. Does this sound like you? Want to be a part of creating the future of this incredible organization? We’d love to hear from you.
02 What success looks like: An evolving sketch of your first 12-24 months. Digital Innovation. You’ll partner with other digital leaders in a series of digital innovation efforts. The focus of these efforts will be to push digital into a more effective stand-alone fundraising channel that ultimately becomes a source of disruption within our industry. Your role will be to assist marketers and other digital professionals in leveraging technology in new and innovative ways to achieve these goals. Digital Strategy. You’ll assist the senior leaders across the digital teams in crafting and then executing a multi-year strategy aimed at transforming World Vision into people-based marketing connecting our brand to real people. Agility. You’ll continue existing work to evangelize and spread agile practices across the digital teams and broader organization. Program Management and Development. You’ll lead further process improvements within the overall technical program management practice, coaching program managers to increased levels of effectiveness.
