Kristen R.V. Thornton
Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Pepperdine University and her master’s degree in College Counseling and Student Development at Azusa Pacific University. While she began her career in higher education, she discovered business psychology and knew she had found her calling. After graduating with her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, she worked as a management consultant with Scontrino-Powell, Inc. In November 2019, Kristen joined Zillow as the People and Talent Analytics Lead. The central theme of Kristen’s work is to ‘Learn from the past. Prepare for the future. Live in the Present.’ In this way, her goal is to build recursive and sustaining processes for the people and the organization. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University.
Kristen and her husband, Matthew, were married in May 2019. They attend Bethany Community Church.
Kristen is the KIROS Seattle Chapter Director. “Community and connection are foundational to our faith. KIROS creates a space where authentic and meaningful conversations flourish.”
